"I promise," Ben said, and he pulled out a small toy car from his pocket.
Alice was so happy to see the toy car that she forgot about the surprise. But when she went to play with it, she realized that the toy car was broken. She felt sad and disappointed.
"I'm sorry, I broke your surprise," Alice said to Ben.
"It's okay," Ben replied. "I'm just glad you're not mad at me."
Alice learned that it's important to keep promises and to be honest with her friends. And even though the surprise was broken, she still had a good time playing with her toy car.
