Tommy was grumpy. He did not want to go to bed. He wanted to play with his cars and trucks. But Mommy said it was time to sleep. She gave him a hug and a kiss and tucked him in with his pillow.
"Good night, Tommy. I love you," Mommy said.
"Good night, Mommy. I love you too," Tommy said. But he was still grumpy.

Suddenly, he heard a noise outside his window. It was his friend, Billy.
"Hey, Tommy! Do you want to play?" Billy asked.
Tommy was so happy. He jumped out of bed and ran to the window. "Yes, Billy! Let's play!"
But when he looked outside, he saw that Billy was already playing with his mail truck. Tommy felt sad. He wanted to play with Billy.
"I'm sorry, Billy. I can't play with you right now. I have to sleep," Tommy said.
"That's okay, Tommy. You can play with my mail truck tomorrow," Billy said.
Tommy smiled. He was not grumpy anymore. He went back to bed and fell asleep, dreaming of all the fun they would have with the mail truck tomorrow.
