Alice and Ben went to the kitchen and started to make the cake. Alice put in the sugar and flour, while Ben stirred it all together.
When the cake was ready, Alice said, "Let's put it in the oven and wait."
Alice and Ben went to the oven and put the cake inside. Then they waited.
Suddenly, Alice heard a loud noise coming from the oven. She opened the oven and saw that the cake had grown into a giant monster! Alice was so surprised and scared.
Alice quickly grabbed a broom and tried to shoo the monster away. But the monster was too big and strong. Alice had to run away and the monster ate the whole cake.
Alice was so sad. She had worked so hard to make the cake and now it was gone. Alice and Ben had a bad ending to their birthday.
