Tommy was grumpy. He did not want to go to bed. He wanted to play with his cars and trucks. But Mommy said it was time to sleep. She gave him a hug and a kiss and tucked him in with his pillow.
"Good night, Tommy. I love you," Mommy said.
"Good night, Mommy. I love you too," Tommy said. But he was still grumpy.

"Mommy, can I mail a letter to my friend?" Tommy asked.
Mommy smiled. "Of course you can, Tommy. Let's write a letter together."
So Tommy and Mommy wrote a letter to his friend. They put it in an envelope and put it in the mailbox. Tommy was not grumpy anymore. He was happy. Now he could go to bed and have sweet dreams.
